This won't be entirely fair to have them both in the final as two games from the same 'parent' series may end up 'splitting the vote' among a certain group of voters. Yeah I know, niche is a bit of a strong word to use there, use your imagination and fix the wording yourselves please.Īlso, If this poll had GT and Forza, that means that there may have been two Microsoft or even two Sony games in the final for example if a Forza Motorsport game won here and a Forza Horizon game in a different poll. So I hope Dirt Rally, WRC are better fits for this round as they are somewhat more niche in and of themselves by being dedicated to a specific motorsport. In any tournament of this kind, the most popular well liked games will get through and some of the more hardcore sims are massively popular, no doubt, but they are a tad more niche than GT and Forza on Era imo.
If Gran Turismo or Forza were here they may dominate the poll as Era is console-centric and so to avoid this argument as much as possible I've put the more hardcore sims like AC and iRacing with games like Dirt Rally to put them on an even playing field, maybe it won't turn out that way but still I think it gives them a fairer shot at reaching the final.
